Questions & Concerns
My children won't sit still for a session and my husband isn't good with photoshoots.
My answer to this is always: LET. THEM. PLAY. By allowing your children (and husband) to play and be silly will bring out their best smiles and allow them to be their true selves. I tell clients not to put any expectations on the session so it's easy going. Less stress and more play feels like chaos, but I promise you that the images will ALWAYS be worth it.
My house isn't as styled or as pretty as other houses I've seen, but I want an "in home" session.
Your house is beautiful because it has touches of your family all around it. It has your memories, your children's artwork, family pictures, etc. But if it is something that really bothers you, I have a couple of options. We can stay in one single room that you love, or, we can have our session be in your yard or some place around your property that feels like home. Some of my favorites images are the ones in the front yard with your home resting in the background.
What do I wear for our session?
If your heart can handle it, then come as you are. Don't worry about matching or coordination because your everyday clothing is one of the best ways that we express ourselves (and you'll be comfortable). If you would like to coordinate for your session then we can work together to come up with styles for everyone that has a similar color scheme and plenty of textures and patterns. I love figuring out outfits so let's have fun with it!
How many people can I have in my session?
Included in every session is up to 7 people with no extra fee. Because managing more than 7 people can become chaotic, there is a $20 additional charge for every person beyond 7 people.

My house is a mess, I don't want to have a session in my house because I don't have time to clean.
The great thing about lifestyle and documentary photography is I can position myself around certain objects, or move things out of the way as to not get them in the images. I can tell clients all day long that your house wouldn't be your house at this time in your life without messes, but sometimes we just want to show off a nice looking space. And that's totally okay. We will work around it so it's not something that will show up in the images in your final gallery.
My house doesn't have a lot of natural light.
This is an easy fix. If indoor images are something you're looking for, we can position our session around and close to the windows in your home. If you just want your images somewhere around your house, consider a front or backyard session for that amazing natural light.
When will I receive my images?
If you choose to have a sneak peek then those will be posted within 24-48 hours. The sneak is around 5-10 images depending on which session you chose. Following your session, the turn around time for a full gallery is about 3 weeks. This included the color and black and white versions for you to choose your favorites from.
Do you travel?
YES! The answer is always yes. Included in your session fee is travel for up to 25 miles from Monroe, MI. If you have a session idea in mind that is farther away than that it is a $100 travel fee. If you're looking for a destination session that requires an overnight or plane travel, we can discuss the details while going over the details of your session.
